• The Solitary  Norse Ritual for Freya under the branches of Yggdrasill:

    English, Français, Brezhoneg:

If you are doing this rite as it is written, you will need:

    Offerings for (gods-ancestors-spirits)

The Divinities of the home (All Mother, Sky Father, God of inspiration)

The ancestors (of blood and spirit)

Spirits of nature (Korriganed and Teuz)

    The Shining Ones.

The being of the occasion (Freya)

    The prayer of sacrifice

A representation for the sacred fire, the sacred well and the Yggdrasill tree

A set of divination (Runes or Tarot cards)

Something to drink (Cider, fruit juice, Beer, Chouchenn, Lambig or Whiskey)

A candle (pink, red or white) or a representation of Freya.

    *

Light the candle at this time to begin the ritual :

Me a zo deuet amañ evit enoriñ an Douezed. / Je viens ici afin d’honorer les Dieux.

(I am here to honor the Gods)

    Inititiating the Rite :

    Purification :

    Two powers meditation :

    *Breathing in and out deeply*

Clear your minds and relax yourself in preparation for this ritual

*Ringing your Tibetan bowl nine times thinking of the nine worlds of Yggdrasill*

     -Two Powers Meditation –

Visualized the sacred fire and deep water in your meditation :

Now close your eyes and relax, visualized the fire shining in the sky and the water deep in the earth. Your roots that grow deep in the sacred waters and wells of ancestors. Your branches rise to the sky above you. I will sing the Galdar, the songs of the runes, the magical spells and I will summon the gods.     ----------------------

**(Here I am between the worlds.

I work every day with love, strength and wisdom

I will work soon with bardic poetry and some help.

I will do my ritual with love, strength and beauty.

The power of Druidry will be done here firmly and surely !

The gods gave us a lot of gifts !

The Kindred will give us a lot of gifts !

We must understand one thing first.

In the countries of Brittany there are the spirits of bards, ovates, druids and old seers.

In Brittany in the center of the country rests my heart. On the Are Mountain there are spirituality and druidry too.

In Brittany at the beach or inside the forests were the words and the words of the past.

Spirit of Brittany will be with us !)

Worship of Freya the being of Occasion :

Lady Freyja, Lover, Warrior, Leader of the Valkyries

    Holder of Brisingamen.

We call to you, Lady Chooser, To lend your aid to us this night.

    (written by Victoria Selnes)

    Grounding and Centering :

**(Free heart living here on the land of Brittany. Free and faithful, in a time of turmoil.

Silently contemplate the void, in these three brilliant sparks. In the blazing fire, in the spring waters overturned by the living salmon, and on the tree that smiles at the stars.

The kindred which lives in my heart, then rises the murmur of the deep forest of Brocéliande, the dolmens covered with mosses and the heather on the mountain. And the deep sigh of the land, which remind me the Merlin's exploits.

Bard with a faithful heart lost in this century so hard. And the gods of the Bretons, mourning the ancient laws and forgotten tales, spring their thoughts into the sacred dawn, bring their help and the ancient sobs of the sea and the woods.)

    Recreating the Cormos :

I’am here in the middle of my Hearth, i will creates the cosmos, by water, fire and tree.

I create the hallows of my Druidry.

I call upon you Odin ! I would like you to be my Gatekeeper. By your powerful magic and your great wisdom, by the power of the runes help me to open the gates, by the shining fire, by the pure water, and the nine worlds of this tree where you were a hanged man.
